The lead human character. She loves to play piano and spend time with her best friends. She's organized and methodical, at least until Sugar enters her life.

One of Saga's two best friends. She's the flashy one of the trio.

One of Saga's two best friends. She's mellow, and wants to be a writer.
Greta
A competitive and boisterous classmate, she considers Saga her rival in all things. Her snobbish elegance masks her more appealing qualities.
Phil
A boy with a dream of becoming a famous scientist. He hangs out at the junkyard, where he uses parts to craft all manner of experimental devices.
Alan
One of Phil's friends, he assists in the scientific work that often ends in disaster.
Jan
One of Phil's friends, he assists in the scientific work that often ends in disaster.
Regina
Saga's grandmother, who is raising her. She's very kind and always encouraging.
Ingrid
Saga's mother, a famous pianist who passed away some years back.
Hanna
The teacher for Saga and her classmates.
Lecyno
The good-natured owner of the Little Me coffee shop where Saga works part-time. He's all about cookies and smiles.
Henry
An elderly man who works in one of the towers in Muhlenburg where people can go for a great view of the town.
Paul
A friendly employer at the music store who lets Saga come in and play her mother's piano.
Manager
The silent, stuffy manager in charge of the music store where Saga goes to play her mother's piano.
Vincent
Piano player for the Hammond Theater Troupe who is also the bear in their play. He befriends Saga through their mutual love of music.
Hammond Theater Troupe
A stage group that visits Muhlenburg and captures the hearts of the entire town.
Kanon
A young girl who comes to stay at Saga's house, unintentionally causing problems for her and Sugar.
Miranda
An old friend of Saga's family, and mother to Kanon.
Baby
A baby who lives where Pepper has made her home, and seems able to see her.
Sugar
An apprentice snow fairy whose rambunctious tendencies cause all sorts of trouble for Saga, and for her fellow apprentice fairies.
Pepper
An apprentice wind fairy who hangs out with Sugar and Salt. She's extremely gentle and talks to animals, though sometimes her head is in the clouds.
Salt
An apprentice sun fairy who hangs out with Sugar and Pepper. He's following his father's path, but also has dreams of his own.
Ginger
A rain fairy who doesn't appreciate the apprentices or the Elder getting in the way of her work. She has feelings for Turmeric.
Elder
The most powerful of all season fairies. He's come to the human world to pursue his love of Ginger, but also assists the apprentices.
Basil
A delinquent apprentice thunder fairy who hangs out with and causes trouble with Cinnamon.
Cinnamon
A delinquent apprentice ice fairy who hangs out with and causes trouble with Basil.
Turmeric
A soft-spoken cloud fairy whose mind is always on his work, as he strives to makes perfect clouds.
Misc Fairies
Additional season fairies appear throughout the series to provide assistance or instruction, including one that can even control typhoons.
Joe
A troublesome crow with a love of swiping shiny or "twinkling" objects.
Lancelot
A pet turtle that belongs to Miss Hanna. He has unfortunately fond feelings for a bird.
Doves
Flocks of doves often hang around the town's fountain, and furnish Pepper with information and gossip.
